if it was myself, I would wait till everything, but the backsplash is in; to make sure I liked the choice. Is this a new build or a reno or, open concept or?? More information please. :)

The backsplash is already purchased so it's the one item that's fixed :) This is a renovation; it's an open kitchen with perimeter cabinetry (upper and lower cabinets) on 2 sides, and a medium sized (6' x 4') island in the center. It opens onto a dining area. The kitchen gets some natural light but not a ton, thus making me want to keep the colors light. I know that I want it to be primarily white and gray. Apart from that there will be some natural wood, polished nickel faucets, black/oil rubbed bronze pulls, and some teal accents.

Hopefully this gives you an idea of the layout - it's really one large room with a kitchen area and a dining area, and the island in the center.

Molly go check out my profile page & look under New build/gabe when we first looked at perimeter counter tops, I looked at a quartz Alpine Umber but hubby wanted a granite so we went with Silver Pearl instead.

Yeah, I'm probably doing it a bit backwards ... I just love the movement in the back splash tile, how it adds texture and depth with a mixture of white and varied tones of gray. I know that I want a primarily gray and white kitchen so it seemed like a reasonable decision. Thank you for the insight into the problem with the perimeter turn!

You will have a seam at corner with any material. A well executed seam is no problem with any material. Simply be aware that if the Nuvo is on the perimeter........NO veining line up can be expected at that corner.

I'm in the same predicament. I have Agreeable Gray Cabinets (They looks REALLY light gray) and going with a bright white glazed tile backsplash. Its a kitchen refurb. I really love Calacatta Nuvo for the center island, but want to also keep it the focus of the show and go with a plain white. Does anyone know which which quartz countertops match Calacatta Nuvo's whiteness?
