Adding tall thin lamps with medium white shades will help.

You might also add a cedar chest at the foot of your bed.

Art centered over your headboard, with the center of it your eye level when standing, is well worth considering.

Consider adding "risers" to raise the height of the bed. Also add a bed skirt beneath the mattress over the springs/frame. Adding those will enable you to have under bed storage as well as visually enlarge your bed.

Alternately, since you don't have or seem to have been using beside lamps anyway, you might consider turning your bed so the foot of the bed is only a few feet from the window and put your two bedside tables behind your headboard so you can wake up facing the window/morning -- also enabling you to be able to walk all the way around your bed

A full bed? Two of you are sleeping in that??? Holy crap. I’d have to put a twin bed beside it so I could sleep. LOL.

I think you need to think of it as separate functional areas: sleeping, dressing, and seating. Artwork and curtains to soften the space and make it seem less echo-y.

I am bumping hoping maybe one of the regulars who may have missed this before like @groveraxle can do some photoshop magic for you.

You need to add some art, fabrics (like a nice rug, a “sitting area” with a couple upholstered chairs with a soft throw) to soften the room and add some intimacy. Right now the size combined with the tall ceilings leaves it feeling rather shoebox-like. I am not a big fan of drapes but I think even adding some drapes over the (blackout?) shade would help or changing out to a Roman shade, etc.

You can use dark frames that match your bed frame to go up from the end tables and above the bed to give it more presence. I would even put a double row above the bed since it is so low. (They used white frames in this example. )You can purchase art downloads to make a matching set suitable to your interest.

You need a big rug. Size it as though there were a king sized bed in the room. put a bench at the end of the bed. You have room for two comfortable club chairs and an ottoman for a reading/relaxing area.

We really recommend adding lamps, a chandelier, curtains, a rug, artwork, chairs, a desk, a storage bench at the end of the bed, and perhaps even a chaise to the room. Here are some images from our designs to aid you with your own bedroom design:
