how big is the table? how tall are the ceilings?

A 25” round chandelier works over a rectangle table between 45-50 wide and not much longer than 72” long or over a 50-60” round table....you will have to consider your ceiling height for sure when making your final decision.

This is a another great option..28” diameter so it depends on your table size...great sale!

oh I am feeling like I have such good taste thanks to @Home Interiors with Ease. That Neville one has been on my radar but I think it might be too big for my space- but yes I love it.

Salonva...what size table do you have?

Its 40 by 62 without lead but in a small area which I can't recall maybe 10 by 12 because I think the ugly fixture which came with the house is about 20 to 22 inches diameter and size seems ok.

My ceilings are 8 feet high. ( I think the OP was a once and done in August?).

I would be grateful for suggestions to suite my abbreviated dining area. Table is 40 by 62 and nicely fits 6 chairs.

We downsized, so the table has 2 leaves but in this downsized house, I have no plans to use the leaves.

It has a half wall next to the living room, and I do think I will remove the 1/2 wall at some point. It works ok with the living room, but the dining room is kind of cramped because I do have a breakfront . It's one of those where when we were moving, we moved most of our furniture, getting rid of lots of stuff and some pieces, and since we do have a designated dining room in addition to an eat in kitchen, we figured might as well use it as a dining room.

In the meantime, it has a very builder grade chandelier and I can certainly see upgrading.

@Home Interiors with Ease suggested a linear chandelier and I am open to that or to a smaller (20-22 inch diameter ) round one.

salonva..you need to start your own thread so we don’t highjack Eringoita10’s thread.

8’ ceiling height of chandelier needs to stay around 24” and that allows around 10” of chain length..you could go up to 26” with 8” chain.

You could also go linear. go get the length but not all the height and give some more chain.
