Gosh I wish the birds would come and FEAST. My larger hosta, their seeds appear to germinate and take hold in my garden at will the way the saplings do. I really do not need them!!! I used to leave a lot of plants standing "to feed the birds" through the winter but can't say I have ever got the thrill of seeing what you did. Very kewl!!

I used those organza mesh type gift bags last year to save hosta seeds. I got them at Dollar Tree in the party supply area near the baby shower stuff.
