I would do roman shades

You can use a French return style rod, something with just an endcap, or have the rod "dead-end" into the wall.

Thank you Torreykm! I like the look of the last one. I can't seem to tell if that has supports on the sides or if it's a pressure rod with a support in the middle.

With the curtain stack and not being able to push it beyond the width of the windows, you're going to lose most of the view and light from your side windows when the curtains are fully open. Plus covering your lovely trim. Sure you don't want to consider roman or woven shades?

It has brackets. You may also need a center bracket as well.
