Winterizing drip irrigation?

I'm new to drip irrigation. I ended up going to home depot and built my own system to water my flower garden. I know that all the various components that connect by the hose spigot should come inside for the winter. My questions are more about the drip irrigation lines and the drip emitters.

My questions are:

1) I'm planning on un-crimping the ends of my half inch lines and let the water flow out. Once that stops I need to somehow get rid of the water that remains in the system. Was thinking of using a shop vac on the blow setting to blow out the remainder of the water in the system. Is that a good approach? Maybe do that a couple days in a row until zero water comes out.

2) Once the lines are completely dry, should I crimp the ends of the lines back up to prevent dirt/water from entering the system?

3) I'm assuming leaving the lines/emitters are safe to keep outside during the winter as long as there is no water inside the lines?

4) The lines are all above ground (didn't bury them). Any issues with that during the winter? Snow weight warping the shape of the half inch line?
