Matching Paint color with flooring

Hi - I am having a floor installed in my basement and am looking for suggestions for colors to paint the walls to go along with it. The color of the flooring is stormy gray oak (picture attached) and so far I have looked at a few different colors but keep coming back to a lighter shade of blue. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

no, no, you should paint to go with your furnishings, not your floor. although most say your rug, i always do your sofa first then your rug, accessories, curtains and then your paint.

Thanks for the help. So along with the grayish floor, I have a black leather couches and cherry red furniture (coffee table, end tables and tv stand/fire place.

I have to also pick a portable bar (open to length but not more than 72” and cabinets to go along with this whole thing. Is there anything online that lets you customize these things (within reason), or any further suggestions? Appreciate it!

i think we will wait and see if anyone comes in who has more info on cabinets, otherwise i will help you with it. in the meantime can i see pics of a few of your pieces?

also black is a form of neutral, do you have any idea what other colors you like? or style? i will try to give some ideas

Thanks again. Right now I’m sticking with the regular wood floor (gray) and due to timing I have to focus on cabinet colors and wall colors. Unfortunately the furniture has been completely covered but here’s a couple pictures that I have on my phone. Probably not the best but it’s what I have. I also attached a picture of the space in which the cabinets and bar will go (in red shows 90” of space length wise and the box is roughly where the bar will go). Thanks for the help and hopefully someone will chime in about cabinets.

we could give you black and white for your design. would you like that? or do you like lighter colors together? you should have at least a different coffee table the style today is to have each different.

have you thought of ikea cabinets? or lowes or home depot they all have adjustable cabinets for kitchens.

Are you saying the kind of bar you use stools with? i would look in kitchens.

I am looking for maybe a lighter color for the cabinets (which will match the bar - maybe) and paint color.
