What bathroom flooring to complement golden oak trim?

We would like to replace the 17-year-old vinyl sheet flooring in our bathroom. However, we are having difficulty selecting a flooring that will not clash with the golden oak that is everywhere in the bathroom (and the whole house): baseboards, cabinets, door, and door frame. In these photos you can see samples of LVP that we are trying out, but we still can't decide what will look good with the oak. Since the oak is absolutely everywhere, and is in great condition, we are not going to mess with it.

Please post any suggestions for LVT or LVP colors/styles/brands that might look good. We are in a cold climate, and this a kids' bathroom, so wood and tile flooring will not work. Thank you!

you'd paint the casing that shows on the inside when the door is closed. its a nice straight cut off. don't paint the door, or the edges of the door, or the casing where the door edges touch, or the outside of the casing.

oh wait.. the door opens out? well, thats still ok, but odd! go in the bathroom, close the door, paint everything but the door.

its ok to paint the trim just in the bathroom to give you additional color choices.

I don't know how that would work though. Where would you start and end the painting?

Hmmm....I think you are limiting yourself by not using tile as an option. Tile would offer you so many more choices, and in the end would most likely look better. Place a large rug and you won't have to worry about the "coldness" underfoot.

With tile you need to add cement board and it raises the bathroom flooring above the hallway flooring. Speed bump.

Don't add more wood. Use a stone-look LVT. I used Armstrong Alterna in Multistone in White. It's a quiet pattern that works with warm and cool colors. Despite the name, it's not white.

mayflowers - Thank you for the suggestion! I was also considering an Armstrong LVT as an option. Did you grout the LVT? If so, what color grout did you use? Do you by any chance have a picture you could share? Thank you!

Also, just looking online, I see many negative reviews of the Armstrong Alterna, such as that it is difficult to clean and damages easily. What has been your experience so far, mayflowers?

I put it in five years ago and it's been great. It is grouted. The only damage reviews I saw were in kitchens where people were pushing chairs back and forth. That's not an issue in bathrooms. I haven't found it hard to clean but I don't wear shoes in there. I mop it with hot water now and then. Usually I just go over it with a damp terry cloth rag. I'm using the same tile in my master bath.
