Remodeling our master bathroom (finally)! Space is 142" square. Will have a shower that is 55x45 and a free standing tub. Floor and wall tile is Sundance II https://www.flooranddecor.com/porcelain-tile/sundance-ii-matte-porcelain-tile-100594910.html and the curbless shower floor will be the matching 2" hexagon https://www.flooranddecor.com/porcelain-tile/sundance-ii-hexagon-matte-porcelain-mosaic-100783109.html. There is a ledge 6" deep that spans the shower/tub wall in italgraniti pietra grey matte porcelian panels. There will be a freestanding vanity below the mirror mockups and a linen cabinet on the wall behind the door that hides the toilet.

My question is regarding the tile placement and pattern. I had planned on the tile stacking horizontally from the door with a full tile width spanning the door opening. That leave about 4-5" strip on the left side in front of the shower to the wall.

Should I carry the 4-5" strip to the tile above the ledge (it will be in the shower space only, not around the window over the tub)?

Should I consider herringbone for either the wall or floor? Concern is it will be busy and distract from the ledge wall. Benefit is it will not dictate how I need to place the tile on wall above the ledge. (note: tile will NOT be on the whole wall as shown in the rendering, just in the shower space)
