You could go either way...white like your wardrobe, or dark like your headboard. We have three drawer nightstands on either side our bed...top drawer is more shallow than the bottom two. As for your lamps.....I think taller with white shades would look better and easier to lay and read before going to sleep..

i would do wall mounted for a cleaner, lighter look. either white or charcoal gray. and hang pendants for lighting if you can. then u eliminate the lamp and have more room on top of the nightstand.

also, i know u didn't ask, but i would put some kind of doors on the wardrobe wall. for my eyes, that is such a distraction and a dust collector. even if u use a nice roller shade to pull down. that's just an idea, im sure there are better ones.

So I think I’m leaning towards white or charcoal, and floating. I’ll probably end up making them with my father. Unfortunately I’m past the point where I could easily add pendants, so I think I’ll have to just go with taller lamps.

As for the wardrobe, doors are certainly coming — that’s what I meant by the “high-gloss white doors” in my original post :) I got most of them hung today, but there’s still more custom work to do on the wardrobe :)

I think you are on the right track with white wall mounted night stands. It will coordinate with your wardrobe and will visually expand the space a bit. I agree that taller lamps - about 6 to 8 inches taller than you current ones would work.

We think doing white nightstands might be the best way to go. We also like the idea of floating, and keeping it in the same style as the wardrobe. Also we like the lamps you currently have. Are you wanting to change them?
