The craziest thing you did?

I lot of members seems to like to try different concoction for their trees, some have success with F/E.

I did something that is more economical. Started about 2 months ago. Let me know what you think.

32 gl container filled 3/4 rainwater, the rest wellwater(ph 7.6), 2 scoops of lime. Measured p/h, came up 6.5. Was surprise to see a lot of new growth, i mean a lot. This is what that water looks like, almost blackish. This experiment is not final.

I started growing citrus trees after extensive reading about how easy citrus trees grow up north in containers. Most of these articles were written by nursery owner looking to sell trees. I will continue with the trees I have as long as they live.

I use kelp, less smelly tha fish emulsion 9although OI swear by that stuff when transplanting anything just can't take the stink)and miracle grow for acid lovers plus osmocote plus pellets, the foliage pro way to expensive and I think its good for a winter mix indoors - light, basic, complete and balanced which may have to be tweaked with something else if you have something growing vigorously indoors

This is not to be used for regular watering, for regular watering i use well water than rainwater, do not want to use too much lime. 3 times a year is good enough.

I like to advice like I do myself to follow your instincts to how to fertilize your tree,s. To watch your own progress is more important than listening to people that are trying to do the same thing. As I watch my own progress it make things easier to shape my tree’s faster.lf you believe in miracles by not watching small improvements, it’s going to take longer to accomplish.

I have no issue with yours Steve, you always means well. Remember there are a lot of ladies on this forum. Regardless you got to keep it clean.

Steve I thought the comment you deleted was quite cleverly stated. When I commented about the removal it was purely aimed at the image that bklyn posted.
