Thank you; of all the space this would be the ideal setting for it. So that model is dated then? I searched every site and word combo I could imagine and nothing came up! If I removed it, may I ask your suggestion for what to put in its place?

I have no idea what would work. I would probably ask the television manufacturer what type of model is needed or go on amazon and search for mounts and then make sure it is compatible with my television.

If this is an old TV mount, then it's probably for a CRT TV. Modern flat screen TVs are much lighter and therefore should be easy to mount there. You can simply screw a board of the proper size to the mount and place the TV on it, or remove the legs from the TV and fabricate a bracket which screws to the four mounting holes on the back of the TV (make sure your new TV has such holes before you buy it!).

I have a swing arm in the RV. If you want to use a flat panel, replace the mount.
