Can we see the whole plant? Since you described it. I know how we all feel excited with the first blooms and all those after !

I like the flower! I have one similar on a REALLY long single stemmed Somalense. The stem is about 18 inches long, and I refuse to cut it. Zero branching.

This is the whole plant, it's in a 4" pot. It has always been small, and nearly didn't make it a few times after winter.

It's an Obesum, "chandelier" is the named variety.

As a contrast, these two in the green 6" pots are examples of my other Obesums, germinated at the same time but different flower varieties (if that really means much !)

It may be a Pink, but a very handsome one w the dark colored, pointed petals. The dark nectar guides make for a nice addition. Very attractive.

I do have another "chandelier" which is from the same batch of seeds, germinated at the same time as this one. It's probably twice as fat, but still quite short - and it has better branching (but I'm not scared of cutting them back to promote this !) Will have to take a photo of them together when I get a few minutes to spare.

This is what "chandelier" is supposed to look like, apparently...
