The only meaningful difference between the two is that 'Oshun' is more upright, branched, and tends to distribute blooms across the whole shrub better than its parent. Otherwise the two are interchangeable. And both get Blackspot pretty badly, if that's an issue where you are.

Thank you, Paul! I really appreciate your input! AD does get a moderate amount of BS for me but I have learned I have been able to avert most of this in my climate by spraying once or twice just prior to the beginning of August and so I put up with it. I do not spray regularly.

Just curious, did AD parent any of your other roses that are available at this time (I guess besides Marianne, which I am still on the wait list for)?

Shoot! I’ve been wanting Oshun forever, but it was always out of stock. Now that it’s available, I’m in no position to order it. I just got an email from Rogue Valley Roses that Oshun is in stock. Apparently, I put my name on their list a while ago and then forgot about it. I don’t have room, but maybe someone here has been wanting it?
