Name That Plant!New to Gardening House Plants

What is this plant?

I got this plant spring of this year for free. It was labeled Pennisetum, which is a type of fountain grass. Looks like it was mislabeled. Looks more like some type of snake plant. If this is a tropical house plant I want to dig it up and put it in a pot inside before it gets cold.

I agree it looks like a Sansevieria.

Wash the natural soil off and pot up in potting medium when bringing inside. Do it this month, well before outdoor temperatures are significantly lower than indoor temperatures.

The past 5 yrs, I've been overwintering Sans in ground soil and they do fine. I think you posted this elsewhere and I said it looks like a 'Whitney.'
