    Hi Karen,

Can you tell us what browser and version you are using? If it is not up to date, please make sure you update your browser as that is often the issue. If you are all up to date, please shoot us a message through help.houzz.com (profile support) and we can try to troubleshoot the issue you are having. Thanks!

This might or might not apply to you: If you're trying to post a lot of photos, that often won't work. You can post one and then go right back and edit and put more in, or post them in the first comment. I don't think they know what the problem is or it would be fixed by now. (I'm always using the latest browsers.)

Emily - I noticed today that the post I made on the following thread does not show up as posted on the main Cacti & Succulents page. It still says "Be the first to comment" even though the post is there.

    https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/5467376/bug-fungal-infestation-on-jade-plant#n=0

The original poster may not even know they have received a reply.

BTW - I do not like the new look of the Your Houzz page. It took a while to find the message button, which is now on the activity page. And it does not show any of the personal info that some of us shared, e.g. home state, interests, favorites, and when we joined the forum. It does, however, reveal my Houzz name on my bookmarks instead of the public name that I have chosen. That may be very important to some users.

Thx for Chiming in Emily. I think Jeff may have hit it, my post was full of pix. I'll try it again w/ just a pic to start.

I'm on a laptop at home now, running Google Chrome, unknown version.

Emily: when you say 'update your Browser' does that mean refresh it as in re-load or as in buy a current version?

Odder still it was still hung, 24 hrs later, so I just abandoned it right now (like a minute ago).

Helpful insight Jeff, thx, it WAS full of pix, I was showing how I took apart a rootbound Gasteria & cleaned them up for repotting it more appropriate mix.

Thanks Emily for explaining, I've gone & updated so that was helpful, thanks!

Can I pls. ask an unrelated question?

Why do we need to have emails abt people thanking us? Of no use or interest to me & I get a lot cluttering up my email.

Can I switch the feature off, since they're all identical & the being thanked already shows in the subject thread, so why does one need an additional thanking? Unnecessarily cluttersome (not a word but you get my drift). TIA

Hi Karen, You can absolutely switch it off! In fact, I just did that for you. If you decide at a later time you miss those emails or want to manage your other email settings, just go to your profile, then Edit Profile and Advanced Settings and you can adjust those there. Hope that helps!

Thanks so much, for switching them off. I've periodically moved them to a separate folder called 'Houzz thanks" but recently have questioned myself as to why??? I'll just delete it all, since again, those thanks appear in every subject thread?

Why would Houzz engage in such redundancy? I just seem to miss the point of that feature completely.
