I'm back from vacation. Thanks for your patience. The digital plans we have on file indicate the depth of the fireplace box to be approximately 2 ft 6 in. I cannot be exact as the plans are digital, they do not show an exact depth, so I had to estimate the depth based on other dimensions indicated on the plans. I hope this helps you with your design plans.
