Definitely something in iridaceae. Since you’re in a warm zone there are many South African and South American options, along with a variety of things from closer to home. Are you in SOCAL? If it’s not the aristea, you can google blue iridaceae and several options pop up as you scroll down. If you add “South Africa” to your search, more interesting things pop up.

That's a really pretty plant. I love true blue flowers. But it's an annual here. Bummer.

Reseeds prolifically here. I visited a garden a couple of years ago where it had completely taken over.
