A small chair with a round table and lamp would work.

A small rectangular table (that fits against the wall) with a lamp and small flower arrangement. If there's space on the table, add a pretty dish for keys, loose change.

I agree small entry table to block the outlet with a lamp. Also maybe a clock above it or 3 small different shaped mirrors above table.

All great ideas! I've got another wall when you enter in that I was planning to place a table at. Would it be too redundant to have two small tables on opposite walls when you enter in? Here's the other wall.

First wall at stairs....example is first pic. Second wall, agree with vertical idea....mirror or wall fountain?

The wall without the light switches I would recommend the wall fountain since you already have electrical there. The Whispering Creek is a popular model of ours that would fit nicely there. It is available in slate or mirror surfaces and several trim options.

I like the idea of the first lady who commented, a round table would look great. On the other wall a big mirror would look nice.
