That's a nice house. If you want your door to stand out, then something in Red would be a vibrant choice. 'Teal' too, is a popular color for both indoors and out.

Paint the area just under the door the color of the siding. Widen the walkway with some brick pavers and add colorful pots on either side of the stoop. Look into rain chains instead of leaders for you gutter system.

I totally missed that the upper portion of siding is shake. Very cool. Are both types of siding the same color?

yes, considered two tones but decided to go with one.

Totally a different look! Love the way the shakes were laid. I think the windows would look cool in a charcoal or black. You could put almost any color on your front door.
