what shutters? you house doesn't need shutters, nor would shutters be properly sized to even fit on the windows.

I would paint the front door or switch it out for real wood just to add some warmth to the front. looks very washed out in this photo. perhaps landscaping will help.

Well, I'm not sure you should put on shutters. There is only one where they would fit properly - the little on one the porch. Maybe your builder can give you a credit.

proper shutter size would mean the shutters would completely fit over the window if closed. I don't think yours meet that criteria. on the lower, it's going to be very cramped. I think having improperly sized shutters, and on only the right side of the house, is just odd. But, if you insist on having them, then white is really the only color. you say you don't want contrast, all your trim is white and the stucco is a cream. Or you could try a tan tone from the stone.

Caroline, I think you've hit on something. Since they planned to put shutters on those the trim is not equal to the top and bottom like the other windows are. Yes, I think that would make them feel complete. A wood door would look great. FYI, your house is super cute. We tend to be pretty blunt here sometimes, but you do have a lovely home. Enjoy.

I think the trim around the windows is a good idea. I tried to photoshop it here and I gave you a darker wood door, with glass. and of course landscaping will add more personality to the mix
