It's a light weight material, nothing structural going except making sure it is screwed on to solid studs on the back of the siding material.

I was afraid that was the case. It seems like a liability around teens that are prone to the jump, hang and swing (or fall) routine.

That would be a problem but, of course, there's more than one way to skin a cat. I'm sure a teen-proof one can be built with structural beam support going into the garage framing. The second one I posted in your ideabook for pergolas is very sturdy though, I remember one of my installers hung himself from it like monkey bars.

Can you please share who made the pergola?

Debbie, we don't have information on the pergola manufacturer but any local carpenter should be able to make you one. There are also kits you can buy online and have a handyman install for you.
