What about a burnt orange (goes well with your tiles and fits the house style) or a charcoal grey?

I like the idea of coordinating with your porch tile too. The Bronze Tone or Caramel Latte look like winners to me. But you would need to test with a larger sample to know for sure:)

Right now I'm leaning toward the far left (Bronze Tone). However, please take the extra time to paint larger samples on individual boards the size of the board you have now (with 3 samples) with multiple coats of each color so you can better see the sample. I also like the DG and how it ties in with the tiles in the very front of your steps. And I like the CL. Sorry, I'm no help at all!

I'm drawn to the middle one. Maybe because I feel it looks the best with the house color and tiles.

Well I know I'm late here but I like your original red colour better than the oranges! I imagine orange just blending in with the tile and not providing any contrast or interest at all. But the red coordinates well with the tile and looks great with the blue too.

I liked the middle best. It seems to match the more golden tile. Then I tried it out on your door.

I don't like the oranges or going the direction of the tiles. I think you need a good contrast to the tiles that related and makes the door pop. Having the door melt into your tiles doesn't make it stand out.

I'd like a rich blue door. It will pop, relate to the orange as a nice contrast, and go well with your exterior wall color. I would break up the orange tile with a new larger door matt and I'd replace the flower pots with something colorful that relates to the blue door and breaks up the color of the orange tile.

I like this color for a door on your house. The pots are ugly but you get the picture of making them a focal point too.

It ties in your roof light and planters. A safe neutral color. Will it get a lot of direct light and get hot?

It's perfectly acceptable. Are you the type who is content with perfectly acceptable? It will look nice and very safe.

To be honest I would love to see either the deep red of the original, or a deep aubergine, or forest green.

lindsey and kulrn have good points about the safe factor of the new one. Try a deep green or aubergine that lindsey suggested on one of your sample boards:)

Green! I love orange tile with cobalt but to me blue on blue looks like a 5 year old boy's Big Boy room.

I am thinking I might just go with the dark blue like I have on my back door. Since I am painting the door I want to do a new color, not red again, even though the red looked good. Originally when I posted this a year ago everyone said a burnt orange to match the tile but now the opinion seems different. Oh decisions decisions lol
