Thank you! One more question. My current stove is 30 inches. I am trying to decide if I want a larger one with a separate oven so I can cook different things at once. Or if I should go with my original plan of having a second oven in a wall with a microwave when we update our kitchen. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Small kitchens don’t have the space to lose by doing anything else but a 30” range.

Any kitchen that has the sink and range both on a run of about 12’ is a small kitchen. You don’t have the room to lose 33” or more of Counter space.

You do have room to make that a less dysfunctional space. Get a double oven 30” range if you want to cook more than one thing at once. And get the DW to the other side of the sink. Those 2 changes alone will double the efficiency of the space with no loss of Counter space.

We are renovating the kitchen next summer to be something like the picture. If I get a larger stove now I will need to take out the left cabinet.

You do not have room for anything but a 30” range. And get rid of that island in favor of a real table. It’s a horrible idea in reality that will not live up to the fantasy. You will still do the majority of the work in your kitchen between the sink and the range. The island isn’t even in the kitchen to add any work space to a location cation that will get used.

Thetes a better layout to be had if you are willing to go to the expense to move things around and post a while home layout of what exists currently. Otherwise, you need to keep exactly what is there.
