Post pics here in the comment section. There are hundreds of whites....you get better suggestions when we can see what you are working with in your kitchen. Besides the floor and countertop make a huge difference on which backsplash will go with your cabinets.

I think turquoise + blue + off white + bright white backsplash will look great. The tiles I'm thinking of would be random pattern, square or rectangular with glassy shiny finish.
kitchens can always use appetizing colors yellow and red, so another scheme of bright orange + dull orange + off white and light brown should also look good.

I'd stay away from greens and though some people like black and white, I don't think it will work that well with your brown floors.

and always pick what pleases your eyes, you're the one who's going to look at it for years to come.

OP: ^IMO that style is much too busy for the countertop (and it's dated).

Repost in the kitchen subforum for some advice. This subforum is the before and after section and doesn't get the traffic you need for your question.

    To each their own.
"dated" things make a comeback. people these days rave about putting white Subway tile in their kitchen and bath decor and I think it just looks like what it is, a cheap subway wall where those tiles were cost effective solution to all the dirty stuff being thrown at the walls.
To me, a mosaic of bright and toned down glass tiles is aesthetically pleasing and when mixed with larger sizes it can be rather unique too.
Ultimately, it should be home owner's choice of look. I wouldn't go for something that's "in fashion" if I don't love it.
