I usely wait when the Christmas stuff are in at Walmart. Osmocote is one product that you can use on just about anything and it will grow, so buy a ton of this stuff.

My wife always wonder why the plants on the deck are doing so great.

I love the mini pine bark nuggets that Walmart sells. It's usually $3 for a 2 cf. bag and it's now $2. If the plastic bag would not weaken over the winter, I would stock up on them.

I was at target a couple weeks ago and they were selling the same 2# Osmocote Plus for $2.98! There were only three bottles left so I bought them all :D

Anyone with a Target should check out the clearance section just Incase there’s still something left! They had their really nice white tapered planters on clearance too. I already have one in a 10” size for my Ponkan and I loved how it looked so I bought more during the clearance pricing. They only had a couple of 18” white planters left in the clearance section where I live but for only $4 each!
