Sorry to hear you are disappointed with the size of the trees from OGW. I certainly understand your feelings. I received my order from them yesterday. I ordered the one gallon Nordmann Seedless Kumquat and it is a healthy tree but smaller than I expected. I have ordered one gallon plants from them before (also the lovely Bergamot) and they were very nice in size. The Kumquat are slow growing plants and more so when grown on the flying dragon rootstock but I was still hoping it would be bushy and at least a foot tall.. lol. For the cost plus shipping it is one expensive plant for the size, but hey, I am still happy to have it. It was not in stock at FW's. Can you take a picture and post it, Susanne? I was going to order another Bergamot but decided to hold back. Glad I did.

Susanne, the online nurseries have a hard time keeping both varieties in stock due to large demand. I snatched the Bergamot up (after waiting a year to order one from Harris to no avail.) from OGW last fall as soon as it came back in stock and it was and is a lovely plant. Good root system which helps the plant grow well. Last summer, Four Winds had a few of the the one year size Bergamot back in stock and I believe Laura purchased one and said they were tiny plants. So, no guarantee from nursey to nursery what size tree you will get when you place an order. Nurture your trees and they will grow into lovey specimens.
