Another Warm Wishes

I needed a wedding gift that could be worked up in a hurry. The floral print, the purple and the rust were given to me by my friend who was going to make a bedspread for herself with them, but never did. The colors were so dark together, that they never inspired me (although I have used the purple several times.) Then I found a half yard of the apple green in my stash, and it seemed the perfect fabric to lighten up the others. I didn't have enough, but I found a yard piece on Ebay. After I got it made, I was concerned that the white was too stark, so I quilted it with a caramel-colored thread that blended beautifully with the greens and toned down the white. The backing is an apple green and white print. I wish I could capture the colors better, but no matter what I do, the purple looks pretty black and the greens look too yellow. Oh well, it's finished, I like it, my husband thinks "it's a pretty one," and the wedding is still a month away.
