Bump. Sorry I'm no help, very interesting space though!

The round table is right for the dining room, but no rug beneath because it's fighting with the architecture of the space. The rug in the living room is too large so I have cut it back and added a lounge chair to the area.

Is there a Fireplace on the living room wall? If so maybe a love seat facing it? with two side chairs?

Since you have the barstools for eating maybe use an extendable table for dining?

No fireplace in the unit. Agree on no rug below dining.

If all you need is a tiny bistro table with two chairs, might it fit where the plant is located in the kitchen, next to the refrigerator? Just guessing....

I like that idea, will give it a go. Feel like it keeps the space more open.

I'd suggest getting a curved sofa instead of one with a straight back. I think I'd also center the sofa on the middle living room window. This might be a case when opting for custom upholstery is a good bet to follow the actual arc of that wall. Yes, it will be expensive. But it will look so much better than trying to cram a pre-made standard sofa in that space. Good luck. This space is definitely a challenge.

What's the view out the windows?

I wouldn't turn my back on the view like that. I'd put the couch along the BR/Kitchen wall and mount the TV on a swing-arm wall mount I the corner where it is.

That's a difficult space with a LOT of wasted space.

A few years ago I learned something interesting about the Space Needle. At the time, Comcast was pouring the foundation for it's second tower in Philly. It was the largest concrete pour ever in Philly (or PA, or some such region), and it went round the clock for days. It had to support what is now the tallest building in the western hemisphere outside of NYC or Chicago. In news coverage they gave background info that the Space Needle is also sitting on a big concrete pour--so big, that the center of mass of the entire Space Needle structure is actually underground.

Lesson's over. Now back to your dilemmas...

They're on both the 8'3" wall and 9'6" wall.

Using the furniture you show (curved sofa and two curved chairs) I would swap the sofa and chairs in image B. JMO.

Edit: Agree 100% with ptreckel about putting a two seater table in the kitchen area to replace the plant.

Yea I can see that working better. Totally open on furniture though so if people have better ideas, not limited to the options I drew up.

Finding curved sofas that aren't massive sectionals has proven a bit challenging though so may need to commission custom work.

Do you actually need a couch? What about a grouping of four chairs and a long low bench or chaise fronting the window so that there is nothing to block that fabulous view? Think outside the (square) box! What an interesting property! Lucky you!

I agree you should have a small rounded sofa facing the view. Also, consider that if you get comfy counter height stools with footrests and back rests you can use your peninsula for dining. Luckily for you rounded sofas are trending right now. Here are some westelm options. I'm betting CB2 will have some too.

What about using a drop leaf table to give you a big more room (wherever you decide to place it)? Also maybe the tv in the corner would allow for a couch to face the windows and beautiful view. Here are a few examples.

I'm not sure you can walk around in your space with plan B, even with all the stools pushed in. If a bistro set fits in the kitchen without blocking the corner cabinets/fridge, then do that, and use Beverly's layout with an arm chair facing the couch -- you should be able to walk around that to various ends, and can sit there (or at counter) when in the mood to admire the view. You don't want to make watching TV acrobatic, nor moving around the space -- you will be admiring the view for much of the day while living your life...
