I have an idea, but... what is the distance in the main bathroom from the center of the toilet to the perpendicular wall on the left (the wall shared with the master bathroom?

And...

What is the distance between the center of the master bathroom toilet and the mirror wall (common wall with the main bath.)

Ideally, You'd want to keep the toilets in place so you don't have to move a toilet waste line.

Looks like a doable plan. Eliminating the jog in the wall seems smart. The house we bought in December has a main bath with the toilet directly in line with the door. I absolutely hate it. If the door is open you are visible from the dining room and front entrance to the house. I've always had a toilet next to the vanity and never really thought about location before but I would never choose this setup again. Next to the vanity you have a place to set coffee, magazines or tablets while taking care of business. We have to live with this for awhile (maybe forever) but it is one thing I really want to change.

So, a 50-70K budget to move all the plumbing and do 2 bath remodels?

I'd just replace the master tub with a shower in the same spot (a bit wider). Moving the toilet plumbing really jacks the price up to the next level, and you are now replacing every inch of tile in that room, etc. Your clearances for both toilets seem tight in the sketch, too, so you'd have to be very careful in choosing the vanities (and be sure that the joist location actually allows such pinpoint precision in toilet shift)...

Yes those are good points. Thank you. I guess I should try to leave the toilets where they are ideally. We're redoing the plumbing in the entire house anyways as everything is 50 years old/copper pipes. We're already going to be using a subcontractor to take out and move walls in the main portion of the house. So I figured now is the time. I want to replace everything. The tile is not in good enough shape to save. Thankfully we have some local connection and we'll DIY some so that will help cut the cost.

The distance from center of master toilet to wall is 4'5", center of guest toilet to dividing wall is 2'5".

Two other ideas, though everything has something awkward. I just really don't like how the sinks are recessed currently.

just as something more to think about. our current house has 36" doors, wider than normal. a plumber that came with a friend to move things said he wished it was the standard. sure made moving in easier.

Geat points thanks for the responses. It seems like I should leave most things where they are. maybe just change master to a larger shower and remove jig in wall to allow bigger vanity. Then just cosmetic upgrades. Thoughts?
