Thanks, Katinparadise. I think that my phone camera may have made the wall color a little warmer than it is in real life; the walls are not really quite as warm as the left-hand tile.

Any thoughts or preferences about the styles of the tiles?

I love tile... it’s so practical. I just have to ask though, is it a slippery tile? You mentioned having it in some areas that tend to get wet and that’s why I ask. We used to have some shiny, white, slippery tile in our large foyer when we moved here (came with the house) and I cursed that tile every time I fell down on it. It happened a few times in the years we had it before we changed out the tile... I tended to have a leg slip out and I’d fall down hard on my other knee. It’s a wonder I never broke my kneecap! (Some of my kids fell on it too, they weren’t little kids when we moved here either) We now have a dark charcoal tile that isn’t slippery at all and I adore it because it doesn’t show footprints easily, it’s not shiny so it doesn’t show dust, my grout is charcoal to match and never looks dirty... but mostly I love it because I don’t worry about slipping when it’s raining outside. All of your selections look slippery on my iPad, maybe they’re not... just something for you to consider.

Thanks so much, skmom! All 3 of these tiles are matte-finish rather than polished, because I was hoping to avoid slipping! However, two of them have quite a bit of texture (the left and middle), whereas the one on the right (marble-look) is pretty smooth.

I've been leaning toward the clean, bright, whiter look of the one on the right. Perhaps I should buy a few more samples, get my feet wet, and walk across, to check out the likelihood of slipping.

Buy 10, lay them out and then decide. I never decide with only one example. Double check return policy, but they're usually fine with it. Ask if its floor compatible too I like the marble one, think about Rome, it's been around a loooonnnngggg time.

The first one looks like something I just had installed called "Travertine Navona Bianco" in matte porcelain and grouted with Alabaster. I'm including some photos to give you an idea of how it looks installed as the tiles are all different. The first picture is in a hallway and the lighting is coming from an open door vs. the second picture in a kitchen with the lights on. Just wanted to give you to views of the same tile in different lighting. Good luck with your project. I voted for 1 but I also like 2.
