I am looking for advice, guidance, and possible shopping list on how to build a container pool that is recessed into the ground. Then using an adjacent water garden to pump the water into and out of to filter the pool.

My main question is what pump(s) do I need? will a simple water pump work or do I need some sort of trap, pump, and cardonator? Where can I buy these?

To recess the container into the ground can I simply dig a hole and back fill? Or should I paint the exterior with rust proof paint, add some sort of foam insulation, or use some sort of rock back fill?
