Nice floor! Are you starting from scratch with the walls. Might want to consider not doing a chair rail. That way you could hang the heads/antlers lower. Suggest placing them all together on one wall at different heights. I would go creamy white with the woodwork, all trim. Stay light on the walls.

Thank you for your suggestions. Yes all the sheet rock was replaced. Hopefully paint this weekend...yay! So what could be done in place if the "chair rail"? Since there is a slight ledge due to foundation? Or did I have to make that decision prior to sheet rock placement...lol.

Have you thought about wainscoting where the ledge is now? Then you could pick a color that would complement the heads/antlers for the wall - maybe a nice grey or blue?

Jerseygirl it is a metallic epoxy and it comes in a ton of colors! Those colors would be pretty cool!

If you want to extend the height of the ceiling one idea is to carry down the ceiling color. I believe the dark from the floor up makes the vertical seem shorter.

I wouldn't exceed 4" for your base trim

The floor was $6.50 Sq.ft. Easy to maintain and IF water were to invade again..no carpet to pull!

Looks like you're going to need a chair rail or wainscoting. I would still recommend keeping everything on the light side. Wainscoting and woodwork the same color and a pale color for top of walls. Perhaps a green of some shade, which I think would look nice with your floor (and animals look good on green).

Deer heads are great ❤️ I redid my basement and got rid of the drop ceiling. Gave needed room for the antlers. I would consider hanging the skull antlers lower.
Not sure how a white trim would look against your floor. Cream or off white might work better or a stained wood.

The floor is gorgeous. With minimal natural light, I would paint the walls a slightly creamy white and keep wood furniture light to medium oak. An area rug would help absorb noise from music or tv or video games. The heads/antlers can be arranged on one wall, and art featuring woods, trees, and landscapes on the other walls would fit with the antlers.
