Where should the stain stop and the paint start?

We are building a new home and want stained windows with painted trim. Where should the stain on the window stop and the paint begin? We are using Pella triple pane windows.

Hi there,

We stain the window and jambs, then paint the casing around the window. When painting the casing, make sure that you paint the sides of it as well. Does this answer your question?
