pillow decor help

Having issue liking any pillows on my couch. Originally I have the Navy & Navy print (pic below). But didn’t flow right. Then I got these soft gold pillows from West Elm to go with Navy & looks off. Lol. Please help. Any suggestions. Or what should I put with it.

I have to check- is chair metallic sheen? lux direction. imo, try a new rug to tip balance a bit more toward lux with bit of some type gold or warm neutral -- seems pillows aren't the deal.
hen I see a light of gold- bronze, I think less contrasting blue, and more toward sofafieplacefloor colors...

I can't help with the pillows, I just want to comment about the light fixture. I love it!

I like the idea of the gold West Elm pillows but at least on my computer monitor they look more yellow than gold. My first thought was like yours to add some beautiful navy pillows...but none of them worked. So I went in another direction and added some gray pillows...I think it adds another layer to your room and picks up on the gray in your fireplace and coffee table. The geometric one looks like it has a gold/brown color...at least the computer picture does...that picks up on the gold touches you have around the room...

    Ballards...

Well, so your room is close, but no cigar. You're off a bit. There are a couple of things that are making that space not work. Stop trying to incorporate navy blue into the accessories. Let the walls stand on their own. It's too much contrast to put such a dark color onto such a light colored couch. Your next problem is you've got a weird combination of warm and cool toned things. So that chair in the corner needs to go, it doesn't match in color or in style and it's throwing the whole room off. You're better off introducing a leather chair into space than a faux sheen/velvet thing. For pillows for the couch, stick with cool toned colors (like the couch is) and focus on texture not color. Get a throw to put over the couch (as that's not the most attractive couch, so hide some of it under a throw). And then I agree that you need a piece of art on the wall next to the accent chair.

I think it’s more the material than the color, I’d pick a pillow with more... feel...to it. Maybe a really nubby weave, or fur or suede, but nothing or at least not all smooth cotton.

Your walls are a strong color. I like the rug. And I like the shape of the chair. I'm not sure it works great with the leather couch. In the interest of budget, let's leave everything as is and focus on accessorizing the couch. The yellow pillow is too bright yellow, and the blue is too stark a contrast. What about recovering the pillow with texture fabric in hues that blend into the couch. Maybe a giant mandala graphic in a monochromatic scheme. And I would put a throw on the couch to cozy up the leather, chenille or a hand knit/crochet. I wouldn't do fur.

I think it would be nice to have some white contrast on your sofa to coordinate and draw on the other white elements in the room .Also, maybe a little more pattern that is the same vibe as your rug pattern. Here are some that combine a whiter, lighter look with just a little blue -

Maybe combined with another that has a gold metallic element, but still containing more white ?

Ellen - try burnt orange with the navy pillow. Westelm & CB have deep burnt orange pillows
