I prefer deep drawers. The drawers allow you store items other than shoes, and you can hide a lot more in the drawers!

We have done both, I think as a homeowner I would rather have the drawers. Looks neater, easier to keep clean.

It's really all about personal preference. Deep drawers are easy to clean and keep organized. Though, if you leave it open, you don't even have to utilize the full depth of the drawers, which gives you flexibility in terms of space management. Using big baskets to fill the drawers can increase both functionality and style, too!
