Bathroom update/renovation help

I purchased a house and would like to update the bathroom. I was thinking of replacing the counter/cabinets/sink/mirror/lights. Possibly go with a grey theme with light grey walls and maybe white cabinets. I would like to have a tub/shower so not sure if the tile should be replaced along with the frame. The tile floor looks a bit dated, but not sure if it would match a new counter/sink/cabinets. Thoughts.

Nice to have a skylight in your bathroom. The grey floor tile and beige shower tile don't work together. Whoever did the tile baseboard didn't line up the tiles. I think, if affordable, the floor should go. Not sure how you tie in the warm tones of the shower with your grey idea. Maybe a floor that has both?

I didn't notice the trim. Really bad job. Somehow the previous owner thought the brown tile and grey floor matched. Not sure if a grey floor could be done with that tub tile. I was wondering what might work with some grey, as I was thinking of making the bedrooms grey tone.

I owuld live it the house and use it basically as is (maybe fresh paint). See how you like the current layout, what works and what doesn't work, and think out how to improve the home to your living style and tastes.

Would a counter/sink in the photo work in this bathroom? I wasn't sure if the floor tile needs to be replaced, or it would match the counter/sink. Maybe lighten the grout color. I would remove the shower frame and replace it with a rod/curtain, so the brown tile wouldn't show as much. The grey wall and the white trim in the photo looks nice.

Skip anything but a new non puppy diarrhea color. The power of a great paint color is what you need. And lighting. That will hold you until you develop a realistic budget and hire a good designer.

Paint the walls and vanity, white vanity + dark blue walls or vice versa.

I agree with Sophie that it is a waste of your money to change some tile, not the rest, and to replace the vanity when you are not replacing the floor and shower tile. You will find that doing a half-reno when the colors are this far off from each other just makes the old stuff look really bad next to the new.

Is this the "family bathroom" or the "master bathroom"? In either case, it seems spacious, and because of its size, it will be expensive to remodel properly. There is no point in a half-renovation job. It would never look like a new bathroom. All the tile needs replacing because the grayish-whitish floor tile and the beige shower tile will never look good together: the poor result of the half-reno job already done there.
It's all or nothing. Make a plan. Select the materials: tile fir floor and shower area, new tub, sinks and toilet, counter material, faucets and hardware, lighting. Consult with a recommended contractor to find out how much it will cost, and start saving. I am guessing $20,000-30,000 for a large bathroom done in medium-priced finishes in a city like Los Angeles or Seattle where everything is expensive. Remodel prices vary just like home prices vary from city to town.
