What is the max adjustable seat height from ground?

Is the 40.2” total height of chair from ground to the top of back rest OR ground to top of actual seat? Trying to figure out how high they adjust to (how high seat can adjust from the ground).

    Hello, thank you for your question! The height you are seeing is including the back of the chair. the seat height is from about 23" to 31"
