our basement flooded after a sump pump failure so we need to replace the engineered hardwood floors. we're having trouble deciding what make sense because there are so many pro/cons to each flooring (for example, tile would be best in case of more water, but people say it's cold and hard for a playroom). we also would like a non-toxic/low-VOC option.

any advice would be welcome!
