Kitchen table

The kitchen table is centered between 2 wood beams on a cathedral ceiling that has no attic. At present, I have some strip lightening on one of the beams, which is not centered on the table.
My question is, I'd like to hang something over the table that would be centered, but I do not like the off center look swag look. Any suggestions would be most helpful.

    You should be able to hang a pendant or other fixture from that ceiling directly (no swag), with a minimal amount of exposed wiring. Or, use those low voltage track lights that hang from cables (with a small fine cable running from the power junction box to the lighting). (Have used them in my last 2 homes, they are great.)
