If you go to your local tile showroom I'm sure they will help you pick all the materials and recommend the right sizes etc.

As far as visualizing it all, the most simple way without getting any crazy software, is to use power point. I make visual boards all the time on Power point by just cutting and pasting the items I'm using. You can format the pictures to remove the background and at least get a sense of all the finishes together. This one is super simple, but allowed me to see the wainscoting, flooring and wallpaper.

Make sure shower is waterproofed and concrete board alone is not waterproofing.

Any good K&B Designer can give you the help you need. Any 30-50K project like that needs professional help.

If you don't want to hire a designer, I would pick an inspiration picture (make sure to find something very similar to the conditions you would have in your bathroom) and copy it exactly. But please consider hiring a designer - if all you need help with is finishes, there are designers who have packages that are simply kitchen or bath finishes. You don't want to be disappointed after saving 5+ years.

Get the designer please? The single most erroneous assumption made is "I can't afford that! I need every nickel for the bath!
