I also need to mention that all of these beams are cedar. Some of it appears to be clear vertical grain and some is very good (maybe D grade+) but not nearly as many knots as you would find in cedar at big box stores today (select knotty)

Hard to tell. I thought i saw one photo with the beam made from three panels, but considering the repercussions if you think they’re not load bearing and remove them, I’d advise you to get a professional out to look and confirm first. Might be money well spent.

I agree with and will get a professional before any alterations/changes are made. Just trying to increase my own understanding and knowledge prior to doing so.

By the looks of the whole setup, it definitely appears to have some sort of structural basis. Then again, there are parts that I can look at and just see it has zero load bearing capability.

However, I fly airplanes for a living so it is not in my skill set to look/assess something like this and know for certain.

Also, it appears that the ridge beam is supported on one side by by the image above where the RB goes in to the wall and appears to be additionally supported by the vertical beam extending down to the heavy cross beam and the fireplace on the opposite side of the room (not pictured).
