Hi! This is a quartzite called "wicked white". Here is a direct answer from the homeowner..."We have had no issues with staining but have one ring of etching - I think from a margarita:). But you really have to look for it to even notice it." Hope this helps!

Thank you for your prompt response! The counter is beautiful but possibility of etching may steer me away from quartzite. I was hoping it was a truly beautiful quartz.
