Are you quilting this weekend? Oct. 6-7

Hello Quilters! It is a bright, sunny morning here in Columbus. I recently joined a small group at church and we are having a fall party this today at the home of a member. It will be held in her backyard so hoping for nice weather all day!

Have you quilted this week? I haven't had time to sew but I did cut out some small projects. I collected all 12 of the Frivols tins by Moda and have been busy cutting them out. I still have to buy more background fabrics but have cut the fabrics that came in each tin. My goal is to have them kitted and ready to sew.

I also loaded my Halloween quilt on the frame yesterday. I am trying to get brave enough to do ruler work on it. I want to quilt a large spiderweb in the center.

Are you quilting or sewing this weekend? Are you working on a project?

Ooh! Cannot wait to see Halloween quilting motif. Enjoy the process, Linda!

I've only glanced at my fabric and machines the last few weeks. Hoping to get back in there soon, though it won't be this weekend. It's sunny & extremely warm here, so I'm grabbing my dirndl and headed to our local Oktoberfest today. Tomorrow I plan to attend a quilt show in the little town next to ours. Should be a fun weekend that sparks some sewing inspiration. Happy Quilting to you!

I dragged out a completed top and am quilting it up fast for an expected baby's Grandmother. I sandwiched it up with a flannel back as it will be used and washed a lot. It's perfect for a boy and she'll appreciate the gesture as it's her first and I don't think they have much. I heard it's due sooner than I thought so I've put the project I'm working on aside to get this done this weekend.

Still working on the memorial quilt. I’d really like to work on something else, but feel like I should keep at this one till it’s done. My friend didn’t give me a deadline, which is good b/c I’m really dragging my feet.

Thursday we are embarking on a 4 night cruise to Cozumel! I’ll take a sewing project but mostly I want to relax and enjoy the water.

We are away at DD1 for our Cdn. thanksgiving. So no sewing. We will be joined by more family so lots of fun.

We are in San Jose del Cabo and no sewing for me. We are taking a sunset cruise tonight to the Arches and hanging out until next Wednesday. This is our replacement trip from the one to Myrtle Beach that got cancelled because of Hurricane Florence. So far, hot and sunny here - no rain. I have my quilt group meeting the day after we get home & I have the project we are doing all ready, so that is a good feeling!

I was gone all week at the Chicago Botanic Gardens taking classes. I don't think I will have time to get any sewing done because I'll be getting caught up on things, but you never know how strong the sewing room will be calling.

Ooh, Sue, we were there in April! Our cruise around the arches was in the morning, but we did a sunset sail in Puerto Vallarta. It was fabulous! Have fun!

It's cold and cloudy/drizzly here. We just put away our deck and screen porch furniture. There's still so much yard work to do, but we went from 92 degrees with the A/C on to highs in the low 40s with the heat on by the following weekend. It's 46 right now - not good gardening weather. I'm doing some bookkeeping and just made a cake to take to DH's sister's tonight. I have to run to a store to buy a sweater I found yesterday but had to wait until today to use the $25 off coupon. No quilting for me this weekend. I sure hope our weather becomes more seasonal so we can get our yard work done with getting frostbite.
