Here are some diagrams and option of how my kitchen can be vented after the remodel.

The venting will be done via the room above the garage (somewhat mech. room anyway).

There are two options - through the wall or through the roof.

The roof is very complicated and for that an aesthetic reasons, I prefer to use the wall. In all cases I am planning to use in-line blower (900-1200 cfm) and silencer. The ducts might be 10" even 12" so I can properly oversize them. There will be make-up air as well. I will post another thread for the actual equipment I am planning to use.

Here is the overall layout (simplified), showing the wall venting.

For this case there are several options for this horizontal duct.

Question: Which one is optimal in your opinion? I am thinking 4, but if I have to go with 1-3 which one is best?

The total ducts will be less than 30'.

Now just for completion here is the diagram for the vertical roof venting - its clear more efficient.

Thanks in advance!
