Two more off to Africa

Here are pics of the other 2 quilts I made for the West African Christian Ministry. I really like the crayon/rainbow one and wanted to keep it, but was strong and gave it away. The first one used the rest of the elephant squares left over from last year's quilt. I filled in with scraps to make enough blocks. The colors in the quilt are a little off.

And another one with Sharon's pattern.

Very nice quilts, Bev. I know what you mean about parting with a favorite quilt, but how many can you keep. I'm sure it will be well-loved and appreciated.

What a loving gesture. Having just come back from Africa, I saw first hand how poor those people are. What ia the name of the ministry you work with. Maybe I can send a couple of quilts too.

That would be lovely, Fran. It is the West African Christian Ministry. The executive director, Dr Moussa Coulibaly comes every October for a visit and is here now. He takes the quilts back with him to save on mailing costs. My quilts go to the Bethesda Home for widows and their children and orphans. Bethesda I'll be working on quilts all year for him to take back next October.
