The little globe is just perfect!

Thank you Home Interiors with Ease for your comment. It was the little boost I needed. And thank you all for voting. I see now that the globe visually harkens back to mid century in line with the vintage pieces of that era (dresser and chair). While the geometric frame references other geometric shapes in the room (rug and curtains), it fades into the background on the dresser. And I see that both pineapple lamps, though whimsical, are too big. I can now happily move on to finishing other aspects of the room, like vignette for the dresser and blank walls.
