Stush, I have used Bonide on my plants when they are inside.

I have some rust on a couple of sans and it looks like my easter cactus has a fungus. That's why I was using the Bayer. Also, when I use the sprayer it covers the plants well and I wanted to make sure I don't bring any bugs in the house.

Here is a picture of the new ingredients.

Listerine Original mouthwash contains Thymol and Benzoic Acid along with Alcohol.

Along with the cheap dollar store brand. Use in a spray bottle to keep down bugs and diseases like rust and black spot.

So sorry your plants got pests! What kind?

Tiffany, Not sure if she had any but just precaution before bring them in for the winter.

I did have pests, mealy on a couple sans and a tiny green caterpillar was eating my easter cactus. Something had been eating my dog tail cactus and my rat tail cactus. Also did not want to bring anything in, especially earwigs.

mealy bugs, grrrr, I have lost several of my Sansevieria to them this year!

I brought all my sans in today and it has been in the 30s here in SE Michigan. I flushed each pot with solution of 1 tsp Malathion to 1 gallon water. Will not do that again because (1) my house stinks to high heaven, and (2) the sans will not be summering outside ever again as I am too old and fat to cart those babies in and out (but the new growth in each pot is quite enchanting and they do look lovely in my East bay window). How I love this forum.

Boy do I know both issues. Malathion stinks to high heaven and I once weighed 400 lbs. I lost 140 lbs. and feel so much better.

Do you have grand-kids? Maybe a friendly neighbor. Some one at the Church?

Should have used the Malathion a few weeks before bring them in. I do some times. But I like the Bayer 3 in 1 best.
