Very worried also. They say on TV that the Panhandle coast of FLA has not had a big hurricane like this hit it since 1851. Hope everyone is staying safe.

They've upped from a Grade 3 to almost a Grade 5. This is a really bad one. I hope everyone stays safe. My heart as usual goes out to the wild animals who must be desperately afraid and have nowhere else to go.

I'm thinking of everyone in Florida as well! Continuing to pray for them. Been praying for them since this morning.

We watched it on TV for quite a while, before going out to do a Therapy Dog visit ... I can't even imagine.
The only good news is that, unlike "Florence" this one is moving fast. But it's cold comfort.

No word from the people on the spot, I notice; I suppose their power is out. Thanks for your concern. The hurricane has passed through the zone I'm personally worried about and done what damage it's going to do. I'll be trying to get hold of my sibs once it's morning over there.

I just got off work and was going to watch TV at home unlike what I did yesterday at work looking at phones.
My husband told me it is very disturbing and he was watching all morning. He got depressed also Bec of the destruction and aftermath. He did not get more into it and left it as it is.
I will be watching news later.
I did meet a few guests from Panhandle. They were not in talking mood. So, finally I asked them where they are from ? When , they told me and could not give them the bill. I comp the whole bill . My heart just go out to them.
Melissa , stay positive. It must be so difficult for you to get hold of your family due to power outages and phones have no battery power. Keep your spirits up and I am sure they must be safe .
If there is anything I can do msg me .

Maybe this might help..there must be a way to find love ones .

Thanks, Jin, I appreciate that. They're okay. I got through to my sister yesterday afternoon (Florida time) and she said her trailer and a friend's trailer in their coastal town were undamaged, and apparently also our sister and brother and their houses as well. They were lucky; a lot of people weren't.

I am so happy that you guys talk. I was so tired after writing on this forum that I was about to take a nap when I received a call from Andrew Gillum staffers asking me for a vote coming in Nov .
I did asked the caller how to get hold of a loves one in Panhandle. Told them about you in Italy and family in FL. He was very informative. I could not give him names Bec I did not know.

I am glad they are safe and well :)
