Can someone provide me with information on how to buy quality sheets and towels? Thanks.

When buying sheets, just remember that it's not the thread count that matters it the thread. Look for a high quality fiber. Personally, I prefer 100% cotton. Check for long fibers that won't pill like sheets woven from shorter fibers and are softer. Look for the Egyptian long-staple and pima for high-quality long fibers.

Thank you for your help. Are there any brands that you could suggest and best places to purchase. Thanks.

I like the Vera Bradley towels from Kohl’s.

Boll and Branch! Best sheets I have ever had. Ever! They aren’t cheap … but they are worth every penny. They also sell towels. Amazing stuff.

I don't pay to much attention to brands. I do a lot of shopping at Tuesday Morning, tj maxx and Home goods. About 10 years ago I purchased some of the best towels I have from Big Lots.

Thanks everyone. I live in Canada and am only familiar with Pottery Barn. I do not think we have the other stores.

Boll and Branch is an online company. They will ship to Canada. Check out the reviews … they are fantastic. Raves!

Seriously … their stuff is the best. I currently only have one set of sheets because I wash them and just put them right back on. I have gifted them to many people and they all say the same thing … best sheets ever!
Boll and Branch doesn’t have a lot of towel colors … but they are super soft and amazing quality.

You won’t be disappointed. They make investment pieces. You use sheets and towels every day … might as well love them and spend the money to make sure you are happy.

I am using this old post as I cannot create a new discussion. I do not know what the issue is. I bought new sheets and they are a different colour from what I usually buy. I usually buy cream, but this time I bought light grey. I do not think the sheets work but would appreciate some advice. From the picture you can see the taupe duvet cover, the cream skirt, and the new light grey sheets. I wanted to try something different but let me know if this is too different. The bedroom walls are Manchester tan (Benjamin Moore), and the curtains are light taupe. Thanks.

I don’t think they mix well. Can you normally see your sheets when the bed is made?

Sometimes I can, depending on how I make the bed. I think you are right they do not work. Would you purchase white or taupe sheets? Thank you for your help.

I personally like a printed set of sheets, but I’d go taupe or ivory.
